Pelvic Floor Prolapse

Prolapse or pelvic organ prolapse, also known as pelvic floor prolapse, refers to the descent of organs in the pelvic area, such as the uterus, bladder, or rectum, due to weakness or damage to the pelvic floor. This can occur in women due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, obesity, or physical exertion. Symptoms can range from mild discomfort such as pressure or heaviness in the pelvis to severe disorders such as urinary incontinence or prolapse of the affected organs. Treatment options include conservative approaches such as pelvic floor exercises or pessaries, or in severe cases, surgical procedures.

However, there are some laser treatments that can help improve symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse, especially in cases of urinary incontinence. For example, a laser treatment known as laser vaginal rejuvenation can tighten the mucosa in the vaginal area and improve the tone of the pelvic floor muscles. This can help regain control of the bladder and alleviate symptoms of urinary incontinence.

Vaginal Rejuvenation

By using laser therapy, it is possible to restore the lost tone of the vaginal muscles and regenerate the vaginal tissue that has been damaged due to aging. In particular, after childbirth or during menopause, vaginal prolapse may occur, which can be effectively treated with laser vaginal rejuvenation.

Vaginal rejuvenation with laser therapy is a non-surgical procedure used to improve the appearance and function of the vagina. Laser therapy can be used to tighten and firm vaginal tissue, which may improve sexual sensation and possibly relieve urinary incontinence.

During the laser treatment, a specialized laser beam is directed at the tissue in the vaginal area. This laser beam stimulates the production of new collagen in the tissue, which can help improve the elasticity and firmness of the tissue. The treatment can also help tighten the vaginal mucosa, which may lead to improved sexual sensation.

Vaginal rejuvenation with laser therapy is usually experienced as low-pain and does not require anesthesia. Most women can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Urinary Incontinence

Incontinence is a widespread problem that affects many women. It can occur not only in older women during menopause, but also in younger women. We want to assure you that you are not alone and we can help you. Talk to us and we will find an individual solution for your needs.

Urinary incontinence is a condition in which there is involuntary loss of urine. This can happen during physical activity, such as coughing or sneezing, or even without warning. Causes can include weakening of the pelvic floor, hormonal changes, or neurological conditions.

One way to treat urinary incontinence with laser is the so-called laser vaginal rejuvenation. Here, a laser beam is directed specifically at the tissue of the vagina to tighten and regenerate it. This treatment can strengthen the muscles of the vagina and thus reduce pressure on the bladder, which can lead to an improvement in urinary continence. Another method is the so-called urethral laser treatment. Here, a laser beam is inserted into the urethra to stimulate and regenerate the tissue, which can also lead to an improvement in urinary continence.

However, it is important to note that the treatment methods should be individually tailored to the patient and a thorough examination by a qualified physician is necessary to find the best treatment option.

Atrophie

With the onset of menopause, many women experience a decrease in estrogen production, which can lead to a condition known as vaginal atrophy. This refers to a thinning of the genital mucosa with a reduction in thickness and a diminished ability to function.

As a result, the mucosa feels thinner and drier, and uncomfortable symptoms such as itching in the genital area may occur even without an infection. Irritation and insufficient moisture in the vagina can also cause pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia).

Vaginal laser treatment is a gentle method to quickly and sustainably restore the original metabolism of the connective tissue and improve mucosal thickness and elasticity through the formation of new collagen and elastin. This leads to a reduction in symptoms that can be observed immediately after the treatment: the inner mucosa becomes elastic and moist again, and itching, irritation, and pain during intercourse disappear.
